A Traineeship is an education and training programme with work experience that is focused on giving you the skills and experience that employers are looking for. At its core are work preparation training, english and maths for those who need it, and a high quality work experience placement.
It isn’t guaranteed but that is what we are aiming for! You will have the opportunity to apply for Apprenticeships or other employment in an area of your preference. The skills you will gain as part of work preparation and careers will prepare you for application and interview processes.
To be eligible for a Traineeship you must be aged between 16-24.
No, but you will gain job experience, nationally recognised qualifications and training which can lead to a paid Apprenticeship or sustained employment.
The Traineeship Scheme is funded by the government so there are no costs involved. Travel, lunches and childcare will be reimbursed if applicable.

A Traineeship may lead to an Apprenticeship and aims to provide skills training that will enable you to successfully apply for Apprenticeships or relevant employment. An Apprenticeship is paid and involves a contract of employment, whereas a Traineeship is unpaid and does not involve a contract of employment.
With a Traineeship you can gain experience in the following areas: Business Administration, Events, Marketing, Hospitality, Maintenance & Facilities, Grounds Keeping, Stewarding and Education Support
We can be flexible around your interests, you do not have to cover all of the above areas during your placement.
