Apprenticeship Levels Explained
We offer a variety of different Apprenticeships ranging from level 2 to level 5. Most Apprentices start at level 2, depending on which qualifications you have already achieved.
Level 2 Apprenticeship
Equivalent to GCSE grade A* - C. A level 2 qualification will provide you with the skills for your chosen career path and will allow entry to an advanced level (level 3) apprenticeship.
Level 3 Apprenticeship
Equivalent to A-Levels. To start a level 3 apprenticeship, ideally you should have five GSCE’S (grade C or above) or have completed a level 2 Apprenticeship.
Level 4/5 Apprenticeship
Equivalent to a Higher National Certificate. Level 5 is equivalent to a foundation degree or HND.
If you already have a degree, you will not be eligible for funding therefore your employer would have to pay for your training costs.
