On 12 March 2026 National Care Team Ltd rolled out a refreshed induction pack for new Health and Social Care classroom starts across Durham and the wider North East.
Tutors now walk through uniform, ID badges, and placement travel on day one, with a short checklist for anyone who has just changed address or is commuting between two care settings while they settle in.
We also added a practical note about keeping workbooks and reflective logs together when learners temporarily store kit between placements. A tidy bag and labelled folders save assessor time and stop evidence going missing mid-move.
Managers told us the clearer week-one plan reduces first-day nerves. If your organisation is onboarding apprentices this spring, ask your NCT contact for the updated induction sheet.
Through 2024 we had already shortened the paper forms; this 2026 refresh focuses on what learners physically need with them when they arrive.
