This course will include undertaking a research project within services for children and young people, developing health and safety policies, procedures and practices and the development of systems that promote communication</p> <p>There are three pathways based on relevant job roles within the qualification including:</p> <p>Management &ndash; directed at day child care settings such as Nurseries, Cr&egrave;ches and Child Minders</p> <p>Residential Management &ndash; directed at Management with a residential setting</p> <p>Advanced Practice &ndash; directed at Senior Practitionersures and practices and the development of systems that promote communication There are three pathways based on relevant job roles within the qualification including: Management &ndash; directed at day child care settings such as Nurseries, Cr&egrave;ches and Child Minders Residential Management &ndash; directed at Management with a residential setting Advanced</p> <p>Practice &ndash; directed at Senior Practitioners</p>

Learning Methods

You will be assigned a qualified training advisor, where learning will be undertaken by mixture of 1 to 1 sessions, group sessions, on/off the job learning, research projects and mentor support as well as opportunities to supervise others.

Assessment Methods

The course will be assessed via a range of methods which could include direct observations in the workplace, written/electronic portfolio, professional discussion, guided discussions and assignments.

Entry Requirements

Requirements

You need to have been a resident in the UK, EU or EEA for the past 3 years and should be at least 19 years old. You will need to be currently employed, or volunteering within the childcare sector to show competence. It is also recommended that you hold a Level 3 qualification in a related area.
