You may be currently working as a Team Leader, Section Leader, Floor Manager, Helpdesk Manager, Trainee Supervisor or Team Co-ordinator. You may be new to the role or want to develop your skills. Team Leaders play an integral role in supporting organisational objectives through a wide range of functions, including: monitoring work, giving feedback, briefing teams, supporting team members, resolving problems, procuring supplies, project management and delivering and improving customer service.

Who The Apprenticeship Is For
Level 2 Apprenticeship in Team Leading is perfect for learners who work in the business and professional management sector. They should be responsible for a team of employees, and could be new to the role or may want to upskill.
What Will You Learn
The Level 2 Diploma in Team Leading includes both knowledge and competence units. Mandatory units include: • Manage personal performance and development • Communicate work-related information • Lead and manage a team • Principles of team leading • Understand business • Communicate work-related information Employee right and responsibilities (ERR) will be delivered through an ERR unit which will ensure that the Apprentice knows and understands each of the nine national outcomes for ERR.
You will be assigned a qualified training advisor, where learning will be undertaken by mixture of 1 to 1 sessions, on/off the job learning and mentor support.
The course will be assessed via a range of methods which could include direct observations in the workplace, electronic portfolios, guided discussions, screen testing and exams.
Intermediate apprentices, with support and opportunities in the workplace, can progress onto: • the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Management • other Level 3 Advanced apprenticeships such as Business Administration • further education to undertake management, business related or other qualifications.
With additional training, apprentices may be able to progress in their careers to roles such as first line managers, section managers, assistant managers, trainee managers, senior supervisors and junior non-commissioned officers (armed forces).
There are no mandatory entry requirements for this apprenticeship framework. However employers are looking to attract apprentices who have a strong interest in a career in management. They expect applicants to demonstrate a "can do" attitude and have at least basic numeracy, literacy and communication skills on which the apprenticeship will build. Apprentices must complete or have completed Functional Skills qualification in English, Mathematics and Information and Communications Technology (ICT). You need to have been a resident in the UK, EU or EEA for the past 3 years and should be at least 16 years old. You will need to be currently employed, or volunteering within a Management role to show competence.
