Who The Apprenticeship Is For
All those who wish to work, or who are working in roles such as Chefs, Fast Food Assistants, Kitchen Assistants and Porters
What Will You Learn
This intermediate qualification will prepare you with the essential skills to work effectively as part of a hospitality team and maintain food safety. The course will enhance your skills in a hospitality setting by training you how to maintain food safety when storing, preparing and cooking food, as well as maintaining a safe, hygienic and secure working environment.
You will be assigned a qualified training advisor, where learning will be undertaken by mixture of 1 to 1 sessions, group sessions, on/off the job learning and mentor support
The course will be assessed via a range of methods which could include direct observations in the workplace, written/electronic portfolio, guided discussions and assignments
There would be opportunities to progress onto a Level 3 Diploma in Professional Cookery
This course could lead onto a full time role as a Chef, Fast Food Assistant, Kitchen Assistant, or Porter within a hospitality setting.
You need to have been a resident in the UK, EU or EEA for the past 3 years and should be at least 16 years old. You will need to be currently employed, or volunteering within the catering/hospitality sector to show competence.
